In 2020, ELREP forged an influential partnership with Delta Development, which we brought to the Santrade Facility. Our joint commitment to the cradle-to-cradle approach ensured that every aspect of the facility’s design and construction adhered to the highest standards of environmental responsibility. This approach minimizes waste production, ensuring that resources are efficiently used, and waste is reintegrated into a circular economy, contributing to another ecosystem. The Santrade Facility’s unwavering dedication to sustainability was recognized when it achieved the BREEAM Very Good certification.

ELREP acquired this 30,000m2 site in Harnaschpolder, the Hague, in 2020, recognizing the value of this location as it was the last available plot in a highly successful area with limited supply. The site has direct access to The Hague, is only a 20-minute drive from Rotterdam, and is just 50 kilometres from the port of Rotterdam.

The Santrade Facility was designed to serve as a long-term solution for Santrade Ltd, who had been seeking to relocate for a number of years. Through ELREP’s partnership with Delta Development and bringing on board the architects OPL Architecten BV, the Santrade Facility was developed to meet the client’s needs while also meeting high industry standards for sustainability and functionality. Human-focused design was also at the centre of the approach to ensure healthy workplace environments were maintained.

While construction was underway, ELREP sold the site to REAL IS. As the first facility developed under ELREP and Delta Development’s partnership, this project laid out the standard to which all future projects will aspire and surpass.
