ABC Schiphol Trade Park was developed to exemplify innovation, sustainability, and adaptability in the real estate industry. This dynamic project, constructed in two phases, achieved full occupancy upon completion, boasting a diverse range of features and certifications. ELREP advised its client Barings on the purchase of this 37,000m² site in 2018, working with Delta Development Group and VolkerWessels Logistics Development to bring the projects to a very successful conclusion in 2020.

Through working with Delta Development, the project was constructed using the Cradle to Cradle approach. This approach minimizes waste production, ensuring that resources are efficiently used, and waste is reintegrated into a circular economy, contributing to another ecosystem. An example of this can be seen in the design of the building with the Cradle to Cradle certified Semper Green Walls gracing the front of the building, enhancing both its aesthetics and environmental commitment. Schiphol Trade Park also achieved BREEAM Excellent certification, a testament to its dedication to sustainable design and construction practices.

With 35,000 square meters of prime logistics and office facilities, ABC Schiphol Trade Park offers a versatile canvas for businesses to thrive. The living, green central façade, fronted by a tree-lined boulevard and canal, provides a unique and inspiring working environment. The design seamlessly integrates office spaces, fostering collaboration and innovation among tenants. The communal areas promote interaction and a sense of community among occupants. The combination of this design and location attracted high quality tenants including PVH, OTX, Rapid Logistics, and ICE.

ABC Schiphol Trade Park’s design allows for flexibility. It can function as a single unit or be divided into seven units, accommodating the evolving needs of its tenants. This adaptability ensures long-term relevance.

The installation of electric systems and extensive solar panelling empowers ABC Schiphol Trade Park to generate more than enough energy to power itself, further reducing its carbon footprint. This project earned the distinction of being the first logistics project in the Netherlands to receive the VBI Greenscore Certificate. This recognition celebrates the innovative reuse of raw materials in the manufacture of the component parts of the building.
